If Tombstones Could Talk by Stacey Joy Netzel

Title: If Tombstones Could Talk

Publisher: The Wild Rose Press
Publication Date: 2007
Genre: Contemporary Ghost Story
Length: 30 pages
Heat Level: sweet
Reviewer: Dana Dean
Date: December 2009

History buff and lawyer Melanie Sparks moved to Lindeman’s Crossing, Colorado ready to embrace the small town atmosphere. She certainly didn’t expect to meet its outlaw namesake nor be drawn to the dark and handsome ghost.

If Tombstones Could Talk paints a picture of intrigue and romance in very few pages. I found myself cheering for Andrew, wanting him to be the hero he seemed rather than the bad guy his reputation claimed. Ms. Netzel did an excellent job of establishing character and plot as well as drawing me as a reader into this small town. My only complaint lies in the fact that it ended too abruptly. I wanted details – the how and why seemed cut off. However, I enjoyed the story and would recommend it to someone looking for a brief bit of entertainment.

  1. Dana, glad you liked the story, sorry it ended too abrupt for you. There may be a day I write the next 'chapter' and if so, I'll let you know! :)

    Thank you for the review!
